We are in need of LIFEGUARDS! We hope some of our returning counselors will find the time to be certified. It must be a Red Cross or equivalent certification. You will be offered a one time summer bonus of $100.00 if we receive a copy of your certification before you arrive this summer.
We will also offer a one time summer bonus if you send us a copy of your current certification before you arrive this summer for the following:
EMT $200.00
WSI $150.00
Wilderness First Responder $100.00
Scuba $25.00.

TEX'S CHALLENGE ADVENTURE RACE

Camp Longhorn was well represented in the first ever Tex's Challenge Adventure Race held at Camp on Sat., April 19.
The race consisted of a 4 mile run on trails thru the brush, kayaking over to the State Park, a 14 mile bike thru the park and on to Indian Springs and back again, then getting back in your kayak to paddle back to Camp. Competing were Indian Springs camper Joe Robertson, Directors Tyler Robertson and Stacy and David Bennett. You could compete as an individual or as a 2 person team. Joe competed as a team with a friend, placing 8th in the team division. Tyler competed solo, placing 3rd in the mens division and the Bennetts competed as a team, placing 3rd in the team division.
