He qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 400 Free with a time of 3:59.11. ATTAWAY JIM! LIFEGUARDS WANTED !! BONUSES FOR COUNSELORS!

Camp is in need of lifeguards and we encourage our counselors to get certified. It must be Red Cross or equivalent. Camp needs to have a copy of your certification either before you arrive or upon arrival at camp. There are bonuses for other certifications as well.

TEX'S CHALLENGE ADVENTURE RACE

Camp Longhorn was well represented in the first ever Tex's Challenge Adventure Race held at Camp on Saturday, April 19th.
The race began at the Camp Longhorn Inks Lake consisting of a 4 mile run on trails thru the brush, kayaking over to the State Park, a 14 mile bike thru the State Park and on to Camp Longhorn Indian Springs and back again, then getting back in your kayak to paddle back to the Inks Lake Camp.
Competing were Directors Tyler Robertson and Stacy and David Bennett. You could compete as an individual or as a 2 person team.
Tyler competed solo, placing 3rd in the mens division and the Bennetts competed as a team, placing 3rd in the team division.

Caroline Hoffman and Sarah Isenberg, both 1st Term counselors, met in Austin for a high school state regatta (crew). They make a point to visit each other whenever they are in the same towns.
